At Adelante Recovery Center, we recognize the pivotal role of trust and excellence in choosing the right inpatient addiction treatment facility. This is why we proudly highlight our CARF accreditation—a symbol of our unwavering commitment to exceptional care and service standards. This accreditation is not just a badge of honor—it represents our dedication to a journey of continuous improvement and client-focused care, underpinned by rigorous, independent evaluation.

By choosing us, you entrust your care to a facility that not only meets but strives to exceed the highest standards in addiction treatment and client service. Our CARF accreditation ensures that every aspect of our program is designed with your best interests at heart, providing a foundation of trust and quality that supports you and your loved ones through every step of the recovery journey.

Why Is CARF Accreditation So Important?

Choosing an inpatient addiction treatment facility for you or a loved one is a serious decision and one that comes with a lot of questions—questions about the quality of the program, the quality of the facility, and their focus on client care. But who do you trust to answer those questions honestly? It is for this reason—trust—that CARF accreditation is so important.

Established in 1966, CARF (the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is an independent, nonprofit quality assurance accreditor of health and human services providers in the area of behavioral health, including residential addiction treatment programs, opioid treatment programs, and other healthcare provider services.

Adelante’s CARF accreditation means you have peace of mind that the quality of care and services you’ll be receiving are fully vetted and confirmed by a world-leading and independent quality assurance expert. It means you can trust that Adelante Recovery Center has put the needs of the people we serve, and the loved ones that support them, above all else, and that we are dedicated to constantly improving the services we provide.

What Does It Take to Get Accredited?

When a facility is CARF accredited, it means it has gone through a thorough and rigorous review of its service standards in the areas of client care, management, and fiscal responsibility. The review is conducted through both an administrative and onsite survey of the facility and its program. The onsite survey is conducted over the course of three days in which CARF surveyors literally work full-time at the facility inspecting records, reviewing policies and procedures, observing services, meeting with staff, and interviewing current clients.

Ultimately, a successful onsite survey confirms a facility’s compliance to CARF standards, and that the program demonstrates a commitment to delivering client-centered services of genuine quality and accountability. As part of CARF’s focus on constant improvement, the survey team provides a consultation to facility management and staff at the conclusion of the onsite survey, discussing findings and advising on continued improvements.

CARF Standards

For more than half a century, an international team of working treatment professionals and treatment consumers have collaborated in sharing, considering, recommending, refining, and implementing standards of quality for behavioral health providers across the globe. This team is made up of a cross section of the entire industry, including service providers, overseers and regulators, health insurances and payers, and most importantly consumers (actual patients / clients) and their family members. The standards they create are refined further by transparent submission to the public for review. This helps ensure optimal relevancy and usefulness before enforcement.

CARF standards help ensure that all people are treated with dignity and respect by emphasizing the individual right of the person served to be heard, seen, and cared for as an individual. CARF standards focus on making sure the facility has the necessary understanding, capacity, and implementation of procedures that allow the individual to have an active voice and vital role in their treatment. CARF standards help support an “always learning & always improving environment” for providers and their staff through access to consulting, advisement, and frequent training. Through its collective wisdom and experience, CARF standards ensure provider services are executed with the utmost quality—caring, compassionate, and professional.

Earning a CARF accreditation is a distinguished and esteemed accomplishment. On behalf of the team at Adelante Recovery Center, we are proud to share our achievement and honored for the opportunity to help you.
