Antonio Anderson is an accomplished clinician. Spanning over 20 years in the behavioral/mental health field starting in Consulting for Residential Homes for Severely Emotionally Disturbed Youths, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Patient’s Rights Advocate for 13 Mental Health Units in Orange County as well as Orange County Jail. From there, he became a CEO of NeuroVibe providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Virtual Reality Therapy, and Brain mapping. Pursuing his passion to becoming a well-trained Social Worker providing therapy for various Substance Abuse and Mental Health facilities. As a student of Psychology, Antonio was mesmerized by the work of Carl Rogers where in his client-centered theory, the client is recognized as the expert on their life and leads the therapy, while the therapist takes a non-directive role. This approach seemed natural to Antonio who has always been a natural leader and motivator and believed heavily in the sustaining power of empowering others. Antonio is also an author and Third generation Pastor who wrote Diagnosing Demons: An Introduction to Mental Illness and Spiritual Warfare In an effort to educate people on the differences between mental health and religious warfare.
Antonio got his BS in Psychology from California State University Long Beach where he was a Scholar-Athlete playing Rugby while maintaining a 3.5 G.P.A. He would follow that with a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in Pheonix, Arizona, a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Grand Canyon University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also earned a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota as well. When asked why he decided to get so many degrees, Antonio responds, “I wanted to be someone that anyone could come to for help.”
In his current role, Antonio provides evidence-based Individual, group and assessment therapy for clients in varying degrees of mental health and addiction. Antonio specializes in linking clients to a higher power, Compassion-focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Cognitive Therapy, Virtual Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy.
